Step 2. The setup dialog will appear next. Type something descriptive for the Data Source (such as "Sage 300 Data"), then click the Browse button beside the "DDF Directory" option.

Step 3. The Choose Desired Data Dictionary dialog appears. Navigate (using normal Windows Explorer navigation techniques) to the folder containing your Sage 300 data. Click the FILE.DDF file in that folder and click the Open button.

Step 4. The setup dialog should now look something like the following. Click the OK button.

Step 5. If you have accounting data for more than one company in Sage 300 and want to report on them too, set up another ODBC data source just as you did this one by going back to Step 1. When you're finished setting up data sources, click on the OK button in the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog.
