Step 2. The setup dialog appears. Type something descriptive for the Name (such as "Sage 300 Data") and Description, then specify the user name and password and turn on the Save password setting. Click the Connect button to ensure you entered the information correctly.

Step 3. Select the Advanced Settings page of the dialog.

In order to report on a DB2 database, you must have the following parameters defined for the ODBC DSN that you want to use in Stonefield Query. If you do not know what these settings should be, please contact your DB2 Database Administrator.

  • DBALIAS: This parameter must be set to the name of your Sage 300 database on the DB2 server.

  • CurrentSchema: This parameter must be set to the name of the Sage 300 database schema you want to use. These schemas can be viewed in the DB2 Control Center:

Step 4. Click the OK button to finish the setup.

Step 5. If you have accounting data for more than one company in Sage 300 and want to report on them too, set up another ODBC data source just as you did this one by going back to Step 1. When you're finished setting up data sources, click on the OK button in the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog.
