Step 3, in which you select which the settings for each tile is shown below:

The settings are:

  • Tile image: the image to display for the tile. Click the image to display a dialog in which you can select the desired image.

  • Dashboard name: when a tile is selected, either by clicking it or because it's the current tile in the cycle, a set of reports is displayed for that tile. The set of reports comes from a previously created dashboard, so select the desired dashboard in the list. Dashboards are organized in the same folders they are in the Reports Explorer; click the + sign in front of a folder to expand it and see the list of dashboards it contains.

  • Edit: edits the selected dashboard.

  • Field to get value for tile label: the label for a tile displays a value. This value is calculated by running the report for the tile and performing a summary operation on one of the fields in the report. Select the field to perform the operation on from the dropdown list. Note you don't have to selected a field if you choose Count for the Summary setting.

  • Summary: the operation to perform on the field: Sum (the default), Count (which counts the number of records in the report so you don't have to select a field), or Average.

  • Show 1000s separator: if this option is turned on, the tile value is formatted with the thousands separator defined in the Regional Settings applet of the Windows Control Panel.

  • Display $ (the appropriate currency symbol for your system is displayed in place of "$"): turning this option on displays the currency symbol defined in the Regional Settings applet of the Windows Control Panel in front of the tile's value.

  • Enclose negative values in parentheses: turn this option on to display negative numbers in parentheses rather than with a minus sign; for example, (123.45) instead of -123.45.

  • Decimal places: the number of decimals to display.
