After editing a report in the Advanced Report Designer, the buttons in the wizard don't work.

Solution

Applies to:

  • Stonefield Query SDK

  • Stonefield Query for AccountMate

  • Stonefield Query for ACT!

  • Stonefield Query for Alere

  • Stonefield Query for GoldMine

  • Stonefield Query for HEAT

  • Stonefield Query for Sage 300 ERP

  • Stonefield Query for Sage Pro

The culprit is TeamViewer, a utility that allows you to remotely control another computer. The QuickConnect function of TeamViewer adds a small button to the title bar of the window. That button lets you share just a window with someone rather than your whole screen. The interaction between opening the Advanced Report Designer and drawing that button is causing the issue. Turning off Quick Connect resolves the issue:

  • Right-click the TeamViewer icon in the system tray and select Options
  • Choose Advanced
  • Choose Show Advanced Options
  • Find "Advanced settings for Computers and Contacts, QuickConnect Button" in the list and click Configure
  • Turn off the Show QuickConnect Button setting, click OK and then OK again.
