When you schedule a report using the Schedule Wizard, you may get a message saying that the task couldn't be created. There are several reasons why you may get this message:

  • If your user account doesn't have a password, you left the password blank when creating the schedule. Unfortunately, the Windows Task Scheduler doesn't allow creating a task with a blank password.
  • If you log into a domain, you should specify the user name as DOMAIN\USER, such as Stonefield\MyUserName.
  • If you entered a user name and password that didn't work the first time, you have to close the Schedule Wizard and start over before you can enter the correct user name and password. Once an invalid combination have been entered, the Windows Task Scheduler won't accept even a valid one until you close and restart.
